Ricasso is marked with maker's code 'cof' (for the Carl Eickhorn firm) and date '44'. Opposite ricasso is marked with serial number '9462'. Dark reddish-brown composition grips intact. Gun metal finished pommel, flash-guard and cross-guard. Waffenamt eagle marked on pommel and on scabbard ball. With smooth gray gun metal finished steel scabbard pretty much intact and looking good. Reverse ricasso is marked with serial number '9462' and '44' date. Black leather frog is still soft and supple and stitching is intact. Frog is intact and shows wear and age from field use.
