G171.)GERMAN WWI PATRIOTIC LADIES PATRIOTIC GOLD BRACELET: a stunning piece of workmanship, jeweler engraved with dedication and in its original jeweler's box. 60x70mm oval bracelet, hinged and handsomely adorned. Has safety catch on the side and with security chain. At front is separately applied black glass enameled '14 Iron Cross that's flanked on each side with acanthus leaves. Note that the '14 EK 1st Class is nicely adorned with its features...crown, 'W' monogram and '1914' date. This is an exquisite piece. Inside is jeweler-engraved with dedication 'Meiner Lieben Marta zum 16.Juni 1916' (My Dear Marta on the 16th of June, 1915). Comes in 3" square cardboard case printed on the lid with jeweler 'Heinr.Schneider, Hof-Juweller, Leipzig' (House Jeweler). Inside is folded, typed, letter from the jeweler to the recipient 'MARTHA DOST' of Dresden. States that this cased bracelet was a gift from medical NCO 'San.Unteroffiziere Pfal'. Carton shows some age and wear; it's pretty much intact but has a old repair to the lid. EXC+++++
