Very finely tooled and fashioned, the highest quality. Has metal clasp on the underside that swings out and locks the two halves in a flat, fixed position. Opens by pulling the black leather tab with snap button fastener. Inside reveals amber colored celluloid inserts for holding map in place. With an orignal German lead pencil snugly fitted in brown leather sleeve. Inside are three German army issued maps all being the Ukraine area...Kiev Ladoga Sea, Charkow and Starobelsk.
