Beautiful silver alloy Prussian eagle pendent with glass enameled Prussian black/white national colors shield in center. Note the motto in scroll above 'VOM FELS ZUM MEER' (From the mountains to the sea). Comes in 3x4" black leatherette case, hinged and with functioning spring button catch at front. Inside of case lined with plush burgundy velvet and is recessed to perfectly hold pendent and has deeply recessed area holding folded 5" length of ribbon. Comes in its intact brown cardboard issue carton with label on top 'Adler der Inhaber des Koniglichen Haus=Ordens von Hohenzollern' (Royal Hohenzollern House Order). Also printed in German with warning that this carton was to be opened only by the recipient. On the underside is period inked inscription with recipient's name and date 'Bruno Krager 1916'. An outstanding imperial piece....wonderful to see it with its original cardboard carton! Note too that the well-known Canadian E-commerce medals and orders firm has one of these (cased but without the carton!) for $655.00! This one's a treasure. EXC++++
