G5005.)NSDAP DONATION CAN: intact with most of its smooth red enamel finish in place. 7" tall and with 4" base, hinged handle and hinged clasp at front. Most of the finish is intact but shows some worn, brown oxidized spots here and there. Raised relief lettering at top 'Papier Geld' with hole for rolled up paper money. Has slot at top for coins and this can's serial number '16049'. Base of case has raised relief 'Gau Oberdonau' (Gau of Upper Danube). Inside has hinged baffles so that the contents can't be removed once the donation has been made (the front has a hasp for small padlock). Underside has can maker 'M.Westermann & Co., Neheim-Ruhr'.
