Black finished dial with luminescent numbers and letters, luminescent floating needle. Has pointer that indicates the direction that you're moving in relationship to the compass face. Has hinged sighting mirror which allows the use to view his surroundings while simultaneously viewing the compass face. Floating needle locks firmly into place when the lid is closed. Has equilibrated rule on the base that folds out; rule allows compass to placed on a map. Has large brass loop and is complete with long, black leather lanyard. Lid of compass is marked with instrument maker 'MK'. 22" long lanyard has loop at one end for fixing to uniform button hole, brass spring clip at the opposite end for fixing to compass loop. Leather is identically 'MK' maker marked and is also die-stuck with waffenamt eagle/swastika proof. EXC++++
