G170.)TWO 3rd RCH GERMAN FLAG POLE SPACERS: we believe that these are the decorative pole spacers found on German regimental standards. I don't know that for certain as we have never seen one of these before but the explanation is surely plausible. If you know for certain otherwise please share your thoughts with us. Genuine silver construction and 30mm tall and 40mm wide. Circular, heavy rings with gilded details. Raised relief features with part of the inscription intentionally removed. Both have lettering 'Zum Freiheitskampf des Grossdeutschland 1940' (for Greater Germany's Freedom Struggle) being the 1940 France Campaign. Also once has 'Goring' clearly shown. Both are die-struck on the rim with silver content '900' along with what I assume is the maker's code '21'. Ask for up-close and detailed photos should you be interested in buying these. Weight is 5 ounces of genuine silver alone. EXC+++
