RD3896.)GERMAN CROSS IN GOLD, CASED: this one came uncased but we added the case at no extra price. Pin is die-struck with maker code '1' for the premiere Deschler & Sohn firm. Constructed of the proper components and parts, five separate pieces not including the hinge/pin assembly. Note that it's properly dimensioned at 64mm wide and 11mm thick at the center. Separately applied black enamel swastika on silver disc with red border. Stamped gold wreath with '1941' date. Note too the burnished starburst layer with frosted silver underlay. Nice looking copy. Reverse has high quality hinge and tapered silver pin. Four perfectly domed and flawless rivets. Hinged black leatherette case, 4" square. Has the correct gold border around the lid. Inside is lined with a plush black velvet and is slotted to perfectly accommodate hinge/pin assembly. Upper interior is lined with padded white satin. The catch on this case functions but it's a tad loose (but, heck, the case is free!). EXC++++
