RD4793.)1939 KNIGHT'S CROSS OF THE WAR MERIT CROSS WITH SWORDS: an outstanding old copy and one made to fool. 53mm wide from point-to-point as it should be and 4mm wide at its center. Well detailed and with crisp sword hilts and pebbled fields on cross arms. Really an impressive old counterfeit. Reverse is equally as impressive. Underside of lower cross arm points marked with maker's code '1' (for Deschler & Sohn, one of the few known makers of the real ones) and silver content '900'. Clean ribbon with long neck tie tapes. Ribbon is 45mm wide as it should be and does not glow under a black light. EXC++++
