Crimson woolen felt cover on the flap which is removable like a sleeve. Note that the eagle, globe and anchor emblem -- which is machine embroidered -- is missing the 'Semper Fidelis' motto which dates this cover to pre-1954. Case has black leather tabs on the back with metal 'D' rings. Like a cartridge box has leather tab at base with metal stud button fastener. EXC++++
