US451.)CIRCA 1910 US ARMY INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD BELT AND SHLDR KNOTS: in a beautiful state of preservation being the officer's dress sword belt with matching pair of shoulder boards. Belt is spectacular, super-well made and heavy....the highest quality. Frosted gold finish on brass eagle buckle. The same design officer's buckle as used way back in the Civil War; 52x75mm with separately applied eagle motif in center. Sculpted and three-dimensional. Note the four screw-off devices on the back for removal of the eagle fixture during polishing. 43mm wide black leather belt, soft and supple, adorned with now lightly tarnished gold brocade. Note the blue silk horizontal fields for infantry. Has keeper slide and brass 'D' ring for sword hanger. Stunning gold bullion braided shoulder knots in a superb state of preservation. Each has frosted gold finished American eagle shoulder button, the removable type with sew-on brass locking nut on underside. Each board has long, steel tongue. Both boards and belt come in very old 6x8" carton with ancient penciled inscription on top 'Gold Shoulder Knots and Military Blue Belt'. EXC++++
