US457.)NICE GROUPING IDENTIFIED TO US VIETNAM WAR PARATROOPER: lovely little grouping out of a local collection here in Florida, a couple of really nice period pieces. Name-identified to paratrooper with two 1969-dated US Army MACV papers filled out to him. Includes his Senior Parachutist's Badge (with star) on red/white embroidered airborne oval for the 503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment. Note that this oval patch is designed with the additional curve at the top in order to accommodate the star device. This airborne badge is spectacular....it's a pin-back with roller catch (more akin to the WWII period pieces) and is marked on the back with the shield logo of the NS Meyer firm along with 'N.S.Meyer, New York' and 'STERLING'. Oval doesn't glow under a black light either. Comes with companion piece being ARVN Qualified Ranger Badge which is a clutch-back piece (US-made) on crimson wool underlay. Also with a 173rd Airborne Brigade sweetheart's pin and two 503rd PIR clutch-back DI's. EXC++++
