This gem stunner is recently out of a large US wing collection where it resided for years as genuine. 85mm wide (3 1/2") solid silver with cut-out wing tips. In center is separately applied gold 'US" device surrounded with silver beaded border. On the back are two silver loops for a pin mounting (a common bobby pin would work fine). Die-struck on the back with jeweler's hallmark and 'STERLING'. The cotter pin type mounting on the back is very British by the way, same type of arrangement as are found on the backs of British cap badges. The only reason why you'd suspect that this gem is a fake is because we're telling you that it is! EXC++++
