Quality German army field gray wool and fashioned properly in every respect. I love this cap and you will too. Wool is that correct herring-bone-twill pattern, single green finished ventilation grommet on each side. Piped around the flap and down the front pleat with gold micro-braided general officer's cord. Machine sewn on BeVo machine embroidered cap eagle, bullion national colors rosette below. 6th Cavalry Regiment honorary Schwert Adler at front (appears to be genuine). With golden-rod yellow soutache machine sewn on. Interior of cap is lined with gray brushed cotton and has genuine brown leather sweat band. Ink stamped inside with familiar, premiere hat maker 'Robert Lubestein, Berlin' and date '1940' along with cap size '60'. A really handsome cap. EXC++++

Although this cap is size-marked '60' it's actually quite a bit larger.
