RD3961.)WORLD WAR ONE M17 STEEL HELMET: relic helmet that appears to have been ground-excavated. Shows battle damage too. It's been refinished with a field green application both inside and out. Note the battle damage to the crown area. Installed is a really good quality old reproduction leather liner with leather liner band. Note that the leather liner band is 1916 period. Fine quality leather liner with three pads having cushions on undersides. EXC+++
