RD4326.)GERMAN ARMY MOUNTAIN INFANTRY ENLISTED RANKS M36 FIELD TUNIC: fabulously convincing, worn and aged. Four-pocket M36 type field tunic with wartime pebbled buttons. Note the pleated pockets and the zig-zag machine stitching beneath the collar. Five button front with closure at throat. Collar tabs are wartime BeVo machine embroidered, green central stripes for mountain infantry. Tabs are meticulously hand applied. BeVo machine embroidered breast eagle is an original period example; off-white machine embroidered details on medium field gray undelay. Machine zig-zag cross-stitched machine applied. Slip-on shoulder straps, green piped for Gebirgesjaeger; really nice quality straps. On wearer's left sleeve is an original period sleeve chevron, meticulously hand applied. On opposite sleeve is an original period mountain infantry edelweiss patch, convincingly aged and soiled. Russian Front ribbon on the second button hole. This tunic is actually a Swedish army M36 and it's dated inside '1944'. Shows overall wear and age from use....very convincing especially with all of the orignal period insignia. Inside is lined with light brown brushed cotton and has buttoned first aid pouch on the lower inside panel. About a US size '44'. Really outstanding and oh so convincing. EXC+++
