US4395.)WWII PURPLE HEART MEDAL, SERIAL NUMBERED: it's a shame, but this one is damaged. The purple application on the cameo is damaged in the upper left corner. Pendent is frosted gold and looks great....so does Washington's profile bust. Clean ribbon with wartime period slot-brooch mounted pin-back. Serial numbered on the rim with '195952' which according to Bender was a Rex Products contract piece circa '1 July 1942'. Comes in intact black leatherette case with gold printed title 'PURPLE HEART'. Has the enameled lapel button device for civilian attire inside. Pin-back is missing the roller catch device.
