Marked on the back with early maker's ID....note that it's just 'MEYER, NEW YORK' (the N.S.MEYER came much later). Embroidered oval is for the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment. It's been removed from a uniform. Has period white gauze backing fabric. EXC++++
