US4537.)SET OF THREE COMBAT NOVELTY BADGES: not official awards as we all know but these were certainly offered in PX's way back in the 1950's. They're featured in Kerrigan's circa 1965 US Military Insignia and Badges. These are all clutch-back type badges and are well made. Heck, these are now fifty+ years old. Many years ago I had an original period black and white portrait of a US Army serviceman wearing one of these and I have stupidly misplaced it. In any event, this is a complete set featuring: Combat Artillery Badge (red enamel background); Combat Armor Badge (green enamel) and Combat Reconnaissance (cavalry-yellow enamel).
