This is a spectacular award of the highest quality, the product of the premiere Medallic Art firm. Stunning bronze cross with burnished finish showing the Confederate stars and bars along with CW dates '1961  1865' along with World War Two dates too '1941  1945'. This pendent is in high relief and has 'UDC' monogrammed suspension clasp above. Clean ribbon with large bronze battle star and gold 'V' device for valorous conduct (some of these awards can be found with a sea horse device for overseas duty). Reverse is maker marked 'Medallic Art Company, Newark N.J.' and serial numbered to individual recipient '7383' which matches the serial number on the carton's lid. EXC++++
