RD4586.)GERMAN SPORTS LEAGUE WALL BANNER: a spectacular piece of hand embroidered workmanship, as fine as any original. Single sided with cloth loops along the upper border for wooden pole hanger. Dimensions are 26x31" and constructed of double-side (double thick) crimson cotton fabric. All of the details are impeccably applied, hand embroidered, superb quality. Separately applied black NSRL eagle (Nationalsozialistische-Reichsbund fur Leibesubungen=National Socialist League for the Promotion of Athletics). Eagle is heavily bordered with twisted cord applications, almost like it's padded. Hand embroidered white cord swastika and eagle's talons, peak and eye too. Has a white linen center and bordered with gold metallic fabric all adorned with gold bullion details, leaves and acorns. At top is separately embroidered gold metallic fabric 'Berlin'. Each of the three panels on this banner (red and white) are separately machine sewn together. Nothing on this banner glows under a black light. Note too the high quality gold fringe around three borders, not junky bullion. All around nothing less than spectacular. EXC+++
