Can't praise this one enough. 45mm wide and finely detailed with superb cloisonne enameling. Finely detailed pierced crowns. Glass enameling on this cross is breath-taking. In center is gold King Carol I royal monogram 'CC I' with latin inscription and date of this order's institution '14 Martie 1881'. Handsome gold clasp for neck ribbon. 45mm wide blue neck ribbon with tie tapes. Comes in 3x5" dark blue leatherette hinged case with functioning spring button catch at front. Gold embossed on the lid with the King Carol I royal monogram and this award's designation 'Coroana Romaniei Comandor' (Crown of Romania, Commander). Interior is lined with plush gray velvet and is recessed to perfectly hold cross in place. Has recessed area for holding ribbon. Upper interior is lined with padded white satin and is printed with Bucharest medals and orders maker, 'Josef Resch'. Just outstanding! EXC++++
