Surface shows the usual scuffs and scrapes from field use and from the years. Only faint evidence of the original decal which was painted over. The original decal is evident beneath this wartime paint application. Brown leather liner is original to this helmet, leather is dark from use and from the years. Soft and supple and intact but for some wear and splitting at the front where folded over the liner band. Underside of helmet skirt is marked with maker and shell size 'EF66'. Has production code at rear of skirt '395'. No chin strap. EXC++++
