G4868.)GERMAN ARMY CAVALRY NCO'S WAFFENROCK: dress tunic for a reconnaissance NCO, handsomely tailored, fine quality German army field gray wool. Eight silver pebbled button front, dark green badge cloth wool collar. 15mm wide silver metallic NCO litzen around the collar and around the decorative grenadier cuffs. Collar tabs are machine sewn on, golden-rod yellow underlay for cavalry. Piped down the front panels and around the collar with golden-rod yellow wool. Lower reverse of tunic has elaborate grenadier pleats, buttons and golden-rod yellow piping. On shoulders are fantastic NCO shoulder straps -- Unteroffiziere -- with silver litzen and silver pebbled shoulder buttons. Straps are machine embroidered with golden-rod yellow gothic letter 'A' for Aufklarung (reconnaissance) and number '7' for the 7th Reconnaissance Battalion. Officer quality hand embroidered silver bullion wire breast eagle -- original to this tunic -- and meticulously hand sewn on. Bullion on eagle shows some pulls to wire here and there. Inside of tunic is lined with an olive-tan satin-like fabric and has interior pocket. Has German army approval/inspection ink stamp on the lower inside panel 'Gepruft 2.Aufkl 7' (Approved for wear by the 2nd Company/7th Reconnaissance Battalion). No tailor's label, never had one. A couple of really minor moth bites here and there. EXC++++
