G153.)CASED 1939 IRON CROSS 1st CLASS; SCREW-BACK: very rare screw-back '39EKI...you don't see many of these. Well, not real ones at least. This is certifiably genuine 3rd Rch era, highly vaulted, three-piece construction with smooth, black enamel finished center. Nickel-silver frame with crisp beaded edge. There's wear to the surface of the swastika and on the date, mild wear to the black fields on cross arms. Back of cross is darkly toned and has threaded screw-post, 28mm wide silver disc and threaded locking nut. 2 3/4" square black carton with black flocced insert that's recessed to perfectly hold the screw-back devices. Upper interior is lined with white satin and is gold 'LDO' printed. Mild age and wear only to case. EXC++++
