RD205.)WWII POLISH LIBERATION STEEL HELMET: a genuine German M42 steel helmet that's been restored. It's a Polish resistance or Polish Liberation Front helmet adorned with the Polish eagle and red/white national colors. M42 steel helmet shell that's been 'restored' with an aged and distressed combat finish. Completely convincing, just outstanding. Has that characteristic rough sand application and shows worn areas, scuffs and scrapes, typical age. Has aged horizontal bands around the circumference -- red/white Polish national colors -- and hand-painted Polish national eagle at front. Coffee-with-cream shade pigskin leather liner -- a good quality, current reproduction -- intact and soft/supple. Has zinc alloy liner band, liner is snugly fitted in place. Black leather chin strap is a post-war repro too. EXC++++
