Ricasso is marked with maker's code 'S178G'. Reverse of scabbard throat is marked with 'S/245 ' and '1936' date. Black bakelite grips and gun metal blued cross-guard and pommel. Waffenamt eagle proof on pommel and on scabbard ball. Smooth gun-metal finished steel scabbard, mild age only. Brown leather frog is soft and supple, strong stitching. Leather shows wear and age. Back of frog is maker marked and dated 'Koch&Co., Walsrode 1936'. EXC+++
