G252.)3rd RCH GERMAN ARMY CAVALRY OFFICER'S SERVICE TUNIC AND TROUSERS: nothing less than spectacular...a custom tailored officer's M36 field tunic. Superbly tailored of high quality officer field gray wool; six-button front, four pleated patch pockets with scalloped flaps. All of the buttons are pebbled, field gray finished. Dark green badge cloth wool collar, turn-back cuffs at sleeves. Officer's collar tabs -- which are original to this uniform -- are silver bullion wire hand embroidered on dark green badge cloth wool and piped in the center with twisted golden-rod yellow cord for reconnaissance. Sew-in type shoulder boards are wartimes subdued silver cord on golden-rod yellow wool underlay. Each board has single frosted gold rank pip and stamped gold metal battalion numbers for the 6th Cavalry Bn. Totally spectacular silver bullion wire hand embroidered breast eagle on dark green badge cloth wool, impeccably hand sewn on and original to this tunic. Both the 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class and Russian Front Medal ribbons are in the second button hold....original to this uniform. Two sets of loops for two badges on wearer's left pocket. Interior of tunic is lined with field green satin-like fabric and has embroidered tailor's label 'Auerbeck&Broskamp, Berlin W.'. Has interior pocket and slit for dagger hanger. Trousers are the riding type with flared hips and narrow calves. Buttoned fly at front, slash pockets at sides and buttoned rear pocket. Has leather reinforced seat and zippered calves. Couple of minor moth nips to wool on one side only.
