RD324.)DIPLOMATIC OFFICIAL'S VISOR CAP: a fantastic vintage piece of workmanship, for a senior level of leadership. Cannot praise this one enough. Displays a perfect profile and shape, high peak. Both the eagle and cockade are executed in perfectly detailed gold bullion wire hand embroidery, now handsomely toned with years of patina. Both cockade and eagle are on black wool underlay. Really, really good looking cap especially with the convincingly toned bullion. Cap is piped around the crown and around the upper/lower borders of black wool cap band with the correct period micro-braided gold bullion cord. Fine gold celleon chin cord fastened at sides with gold, pebbled buttons. Smooth black visor with light tan underside. Visor shows mild age. Interior of cap is lined with gray satin-like fabric and has soft and supple sweat band. Celluloid moisture shield (not the junky pliable plastic often found on such caps) is marked to the premiere Holters firm of Berlin. EXC++++
