RD332.)IMPERIAL PRUSSIAN POUR LE MERITE: we have showed this PLM to several very knowledgeable militaria dealers and they both agree that this gem is likely a 1930's period copy. It's really well made with perfect sky-blue glass enameling. 52mm wide from point-to-point and 3mm thick at the center. Gold details are mildly toned with years of patina. Note too the delicate nature of the lettering and the distinct pattern to the surfaces of the letters. Eagles in each quadrant are perfect. Reverse of PLM is as nice as the obverse. Has pie shaped suspension and is pebble finished. Gold finished loop that's silver content marked. Note too that the top of the pie-shaped clasp is marked with premiere maker's initials 'J.G.&S.' for the Josef Godet & Sohn firm. With 16" long, 55mm wide PLM ribbon that doesn't glow under a black light. This ribbon sure looks to be circa 1930's if not earlier. EXC++++
